About me

Scousers abbreviate abbreviations, so Day Barry has also been Dave and David.

Day has been a bar tender, lawyer, gardener and art-school drop out. Day Barry’s work concerns itself with the relationship between absence and presence, the application and destruction of marks; the moment of the mark-making, pattern as a human mode of representing and reducing visual experience; the eye’s tendency to find pattern where there are only fragments and suggestions of continuity; and the breaking-down of the co-ordination of hand and eye (in the blind contour drawings).
